Andrea Geer

As an artist and designer I am fascinated by color, form and movement.
I derive great enjoyment from seeing my creations as functional pieces
of art. The knit fabrics move, flow and change depending on who is
wearing them and how. Clothing can be a powerful statement and this
body of work represents an approach to knitwear that is direct and
organic. Pieces are hand loomed and manipulated to create fabrics that
address and articulate my artistic goals. Yarns made from merino wool,
linen and cotton are used to create clothing that enhances the beauty
and individuality of the wearer. I create the buttons and pins to
enhance the overall design. This step-by-step process allows me to
create one of a kind as well as limited production pieces.
